Leadership Profiling

Emotional Intelligence for Leaders

What is Emotional Intelligence (EQ)?

Great leaders have the skills to manage their emotions and moods and to influence the emotions and moods of other people towards best possible outcomes. In other words, they possess a set of skills, referred to collectively as Emotional Intelligence.

Unfortunately, many managers rely heavily on their IQ and expertise to lead a team, without realising that poor emotional intelligence will have a direct negative impact on motivation, performance and profitability.

Research shows that improving emotional intelligence in the workplace can have a direct and positive impact on:

  • Leadership and management effectiveness
  • Employee morale
  • Talent retention
  • Internal communications
  • Customer Service and Sales

The Emotional Capital Report (ECR) is the world’s first psychometric assessment developed specifically to measure Emotional Intelligence with regards to leadership and workplace performance. It measures ten factors that research shows are critical to leadership and personal effectiveness . Click here for a sample report.

The ECR tool has a self-assessment and 360 report which allows you to gain insight into how your own view of your leadership skills compares to your colleagues’ perceptions.

Fiona Clark is an accredited ECR practitioner, and we recommend a series of 1-2-1 coaching sessions following the completion of the ECR profile. Contact us today for a quote tailored to your needs.

DISC Personality Profiling for individuals

DISC profiling is the ultimate self-awareness tool that provides individuals with a detailed analysis of their personal behavioural style at work. DISC tells us a great deal about:

  • How we are motivated
  • What environment we prefer
  • How we achieve our goals
  • How we communicate with others
  • How we prefer others to communicate with us

At Inspired Coaching, we encourage our career coaching clients to take a DISC profile at the beginning of the coaching process as it fast-tracks their awareness of who they are and what they are motivated by.

DISC profiling for Business

DISC is equally relevant within a business environment and we have developed the ‘Inspire Influence’ team building day to bring the DISC to life.

This is a fun, interactive day which builds on the DISC profiles of a team and helps people understand and celebrate each other’s similarities and differences. The workshop is focused on communication and influencing skills to enhance work place and/or customer relationships. We will always tailor workshops to meet your individual company’s needs.
